Password lock works differently (I think)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe before the ROM upgrade if you set password lock it was on external power, it did not lock until it was powered off. Now it seems to lock as soon as it becomes idle.

Password lock is different, and annoying!!

I have my password lock delay set at 0 minutes. With the old ROM it wouldn't lock the device until I turned it off. Now it locks it after 1 minute. Pressing the lock on the today screen doesn't require a password to unlock it. There doesn't appear to be a way to force it into a password locked state. If anybody knows, please let me know. I hate that my device locks up after 1 minute.

That is correct. I believe this is how it should have behaved (although I liked it when it did not lock without powering off)

I don't know but like I said mine did password lock depending on what I had it set on. I had the box checked that said prompt if device is unused for 1 minute...so everytime 1 minute lasped and it went into idle mode I would have to re enter the password to get back in. I am sure of this because I eventually changed it to 0 as a precaution to stop the dialing mistakes when it was in the pouch or my purse.

So when you set it to 0, when did it lock? When you turned it off or every few seconds because it was idle? It is hard to believe you could have used it if it locked every few seconds, they way it is now.

yeah it definately changed, I thought it was a bug with my phone or because I selectively installed cab files in my extended rom but it seems that is not the case. I prefered it when it locked after it power down, now it does it then and also when the screen dims for like 1 min or how ever long you set it to

Glad i'm not crazy. I wasnt sure what I had mine set to before, but now I realize it was 0. And thats the way i liked it, the pw screen would be there after a power off etc.

I dont like the new system.
