I am helping someone with activesync on his 6700(with the new upgrad) and we are having issues connecting with exchange securely. I will post his emails below and will really appreciate any help.

I can connect to my OWA using SSL with the browser - no problem.
When I use active Sync - it keeps rejecting my password...


One thing that is really driving me crazy is the ports ActiveSync uses to connect to Exchange.

We have Exchange with a site cert using port 443 - SSL.



The 6700 has a box to check to use SSL - we click it and it does not connect.

If we shut off SSL on the server it works !!!



We want secure encrypted emails...

My guess is that is uses both ports 80 and 443 ??

EAS goes unencrypted over 80 as youve found out. It also uses integrated auth.
