I am using a new T-Mobile MDA running Windows Mobile 5.0 together with a Jabra 250v. I tried both the original BTToggle (which required that I upgrade to .NET CF 2.0) as well as the BTToggle_PPC.ARM (which I installed only after uninstalling the original BTToggle and .NET CF 2.0). Neither of these have worked for me. The messages appear showing "Voice Speed Dial On" and "Audio Gateway On." But at no point am I able to hear the Media Player in my Jabra Bluetooth headset; it simply continues to function as a handsfree for VoiceDialing and Cell Phone only. Have I forgotten something in the setup process?

Sounds like you did everything correctly. Sorry, all I have is a Sprint PPC6700 and a Motorola H700 to test with. If you wanna loan your devices to me to test I can see what I can do! Don't you just love freeware support?!
Try holding the multifunction button on your headset down longer....some people found that to be their problem.
I had 2.0 and gate way working fine on my phone, then i upgraded the rom (alltel). loaded everything back up but the music will only play for about 10 seconds then it goes back to speaker. I tried the new gateway with 1.1 but still the same problem. for some reason after ten seconds it disconnects from the blue tooth headset and goes back to playing on the speaker phone. The voice dial was included with the rom update but i had this installed before. i looks to be the same program.
I just brought the HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones because I could listen to news radio and stuff throught the headphones and it worked like a champ. Later that night I installed the Allel ROM upgrade and now when I try to play audio with my Motorola headset or headphones, it plays for 10 secs through the headphones and then switches back to the speaker on the device. I really like the ROM upgrade, but is there a way to remove it?!?
I ditto the Alltel rom issue, after 5-10 seconds of glorious BT sounds back to speakerphone. Otherwise great app if us Ahells can figure out a way around this.

Same problem here although I am with Telus in Canada. Voice Dial works but the 10 second cutout happens with any other attempt to use it for Voice Command and I can't do any audio at all. I used to be able to before the upgraded ROM, it all worked fine... Anyone have any fixes?
Install the Tornado-A2DP patch and get rid of the BT toggle. Try that once and see.
With the Tornado-A2DP patch, you gain the 'Stereo Headphones' function in the BT Device profile. Then the Headphones/Headset functions are seperate. No clicking off the Voice Tag capability any more!
And once the improved A2DP is installed, the Toggle is no longer needed... but you can keep it if you want to.

The one that's 85.2 Kb. Just go directly to the thread on your 6700 and download the file. With the ROM update, you should already have the Zip utility on your device. then just install the first cab, open the second zip file inside the first one, then install the second cab.
Restart your device, then re-pair your headphones. You should see a new profile in the device properties: 'Wireless Stereo'. Check all the boxes and save.
Then, once you're back at the Devices screen, use your stylus to click-and-hold to bring up the drop-down menu. You'll see 'Set as Hands-Free' and 'Set as Wireless Stereo'. Select one, then do it again to select the other. That should do it for any ROM-updated 6700 - sorry, Verizonites, you gotta wait a bit yet.

I also have the same Alltel new ROM issues with 10secs and back to the speaker, but i have also noticed another issue. When I press the headset button the phone will come on the phone app starts, then the new voice dialer starts. I can say home or whatever tag i set but the phones mic is picking up my voice. Its not going through the headset to get here. If the phone is in my pouch on my side this isn't going to work. After the call starts the mic on the headset works. Why wont the headset pickup voice prompt instead of the internal mic? I too like the new ROM but this BT issue makes me want my old one back.
Before the new ROM anything I started on my PPC that had sound with it, a phone call, media player, anything. The sound came through my headset with out me having to push anything on it. I want it work like that again.
Other than figuring out why the gateway closes after 10 secs. I got one request for the software. Can the confermation screens be set to close after about 5 sces. Don't want to have to hit the X every time.

I assumed you had the Tornado hack. A2DP works fine with Telus' AKU2 if you do the hack. The 10 second thing only seems to affect the Handsfree profile and only for some applications. My calls, for example, don't get cut off. Weird.
I can't get VC (with the hack for BT voice dialing) to work consistently.
So, I'm having problems with this too. Running the version for 1.1 .net framework. Using a Sprint PPC-6700 with the latest ROM. Have removed junkware, installed picture mail, and installed voice command (and hack to get it to work over bluetooth). And, of course, installed the A2DP. Bluetooth headset is an iTech R35.
Anyway, I can't get audio to work over bluetooth. I have the BT Toggle set to audio gateway, and if I use Windows Media Player (or any other audio app) it streams audio to the bluetooth headset for like 1 second, and then no audio at all. Phone calls work fine on my headset. I cannot dial using voice command thru the bluetooth headset though. Every once in a while it works, but most of the time it does not.
Today, I was going back and forth between audio gateway and voice speed dial on in the BT Toggle, trying to get Windows Media Player to work. It was doing the usual thing where it stops the audio after about a second. Didn't matter how I had BT Toggle set, it acted the same way (this is the norm for me, but my audio has also never worked, so this might be the problem). So I ended up setting it to audio gateway on. Anyway, I then tried to make a call thru voice command on my headset. It of course, didn't work (but it never works when it's set to voice speed dial either). I then grabbed the phone, hit the voice command button on the phone, gave the verbal command to make the call (on the phone speaker), and it went thru. Of course, as soon as it started ringing, the call was put thru to my bluetooth headset.
Anyway, after the call, my Windows Media Player worked fine, without making any changes to any settings. The BT Toggle was still set to audio gateway (just as it had been nefore the call).
Anyone seen this? Is the BT Toggle not working for me?

I'm thinking that the two won't work together. I dropped the toggle once I did the Tornado-A2DP and the 'Wireless Stereo' works independant of 'Headset/Hands-Free'. When I fire up the HT820 and the PDA BT, I tap the Stereo headphone button - opposite the headset one-touch button - and I get the Stereo icon/tone. I hit the one-touch button and 'bleep', I get the Voice Tag program. Once the call is done, bang, the music restarts.
No toggle, no problems. So, drop the Toggle and try reinstalling the A2DP completely. See if that works.

I did this and when I go into the devices screen and click and hold. I see the stereo wireless but its greyed out and I am not able to select it. Is there any other steps?
My carrier is Allhell and I am not using a stereo headset, just got one hangin off me left ear.

Your BT device must support the A2DP profile. Have a look at the specs - I doubt it would be supported.
Thanks to another poster in a different thread I started. There is a way for us Alltel users to get around this dreeded 10 second issue. I copied the relpy from the other post to below. Good Luck. It worked for me.
