ActiveSync not syncing Calendar Item correctly between PPC and PC

This issue is repeatable. When I add/create an Outlook Calendar item on my PC, Activesync immediately kicks off and syncs that item to my PPC (great!). When steady state is reached (no Activesync activity), I use the PC to update the same item in Outlook. AS does not kick off to update the item on the PPC...when I manually force AS to do a sync, it also does not seem to detect a change occurred, thus my PPC calendar item never gets updated.

However, if I make an update to the item on the PPC and AS syncs (either I start AS sync manually or AS starts automatically, does not matter), the update from the PPC overwrites whatever updates I make from the PC to that same item.

Is this a known bug? Fix?

To duplicate the issue:
1) hook up your PPC to the PC via AS cable
2) on your PC Outlook, add a calendar item called TEST APPT
3) see that AS syncs starts up (automatically or you start it manually)
4) verify the TEST APPT gets copied to your PPC
5) when AS is in standby mode, open the TEST APPT on you PC...and addd ALICE IN WONDERLAND to the TEST APPT's comments/notes field and SAVE/CLOSE
6) I expect AS will NOT automatically sync, so start AS sync manually
7) After AS stops, verify that the ALICE IN WONDERLAND never gets to the PPC's TEST APPT. *** This is part 1 of the issue.

8. Now, on your PPC, open the TEST APPT, and add THIS BLOWS into the comments/notes field and SAVE/CLOSE
9) Manually start an AS sync from the PC
10) After the AS sync stops, open the TEST APPT on the PC (Outlook)...and see that THIS BLOWS has overwritten ALICE IN WONDERLAND ***This is part 2 of the issue.

NOTE - If the calendar item is created on the PPC, the reverse issue happens. In other words, subsequent (after the PPC item syncs to the PC) changes on the PPC does NOT get sync'd to the PC; however, changes to the item on the PC overwrites changes done on the PPC.

Anyone seeing this same issue?

I found with Exchange and this unit, I set my 6700 to auto sync during the day at certain intervals (every hour). If I added something to my Cal in Outlook, and hit the "send/receive" on the 6700 Outlook, my Cal would not update. If I wanted for it to auto sync at the hour interval, it would update my Cal. Very odd. Because Outlook Desktop would sync everything, the 6700 only syncs the email on a manual push/pull. Sucks. (this scenario is over the air)

I see what your saying, the only thing is I am not using exchange. What I was talking about and think the gentleman above me to was regarding the details in your calendar. In my details I write comments "Quiz on this day" or "topic covered in class this day will be" etc... and I can't get that to sync on my 6700. Thats what I am having trouble with

Hmmm...Interesting. Just tried this and worked like a charm. Have you tried deleting your Outlook profile and re-creating it? Is your Exchange server 100% up to date with MS Updates?

Has anyone else have this problem or is it only me? Are calendar's details getting synced with yours?

I had a similar problem where it would not sync any notes I took (for directions) to calendar items... Very long story short, DO A REPAIR on outlook. ALSO, if you are running Office 2007 Beta 2 you have to get the technical refresh or else it will NEVER work!
