G1000 replaced with ppc-6700(long Story)

Check this out.I bought The "G" of of ebay about a week ago for 125.00 buy it now.The phone worked great for all of 2 days and then started missing call all the time. And after three calls to the sprint toll free tech support and 2 trips to the sprint store i was still not working. So having the insurance i call lockline for help and they tell me they are going to note the account for replacement and for me to go back to the sprint store.I go in and report my problem again they test it ok again. So i start to get a little testy as this tech looks in the missed calls and says" ill be darned" it is missing calls. So he gets on his pc and is punching keys and says we will replace this g1000 with a like product. He then says it compares to a ppc 6600.Im very happy at this point to be getting a replacement let alone 6000.Then he says wait one minute and comes back with a 6700 and says this a 14 day return is this ok.Im shocked and bearly get out "well i guess".Im so excited i can hardley not show it.20 minutes later i walk out of the store with a ppc 6700 with all of the accs.Im so lucky i should probably buy a lottery ticket today.Im not sure how this happened but im gratefull and would hope someone else the same good fortune. Thanks for reading ps this phone is awsome

LoL well you made out like a bandit. I would have gone to the car dealer myself next and seen what kind of deal i could get. But lotto is cheaper and has the potential of a greater reward.

I'm the manager of our Sprint corporate account and had a similar experience. We'd had two of the G1000s since about two months after they'd been released, one used by our president and the other used by our vice president. We'd kept insurance on them for the life of the phone, but they'd been since passed down to a couple of director-level employees. Those guys used those phones for nearly a year, putting up with all that makes the G1000 what it is, but they never really broke. Still rec'd email, still took phone calls, even after some abusive relationships.

Finally, they both started to miss calls and soft reset during phone calls, which prompted emails to be sent to me. After a quick call with my business rep, I got one swapped out quite promptly for a 6700 and the other is on its way.

As big and bulky as those G's are, I've gotta hand it to Hitachi, because they made a very durable phone.

Talking Still loving it.

I appreciate you guys sharing in my victory.I still cant believe ive got the phone and how i got it.I know this will sound a little unbelievable but the next day i got another treat from sprint.I went in to upgrade my plan from 800 min to 1500 share plan and i was told i could not unless i add an additional line for 9.99 a month extra.I haggled this because i did not need another line. The sprint rep leaned over and said i can give you a free flip phone and wave the 9.99 a month charge. He said then we can change your plan.He said throw the phone in a drawer some where for a rainy day.Damn i like SPRINT.

That just plain sucks, back in my G1000 days, I was told many, many, many times that I couldn't get insurance on a used (or even refurb) ebay phone. (I was going to replace mine)

How are people doing this? I should have been posting a story like that!
