activesync: stuck on "searching for changes"

I hope somene can help me. I was going to take the plung and install the new rom on my ppc6700 but alas I cannot activesync. I do not use this hardly ever (last time was 2/25). Today when I tried to do it it does not work. I reinstalled activsync 4.1 to make sure there was nothing corrupted.
It says connecting for a long long long time and than if I wait long enough it says searching for changes but it never gets past that part. My phone says it is pynchronizing and my pc says looking for changes but nothing happens.

HELP

Hi,

I just finished doing the ROM update, and low & behold, now I'm have a "hanging" problem with activesync. Maybe, it's not quite the same problem... but after uninstall, reinstall, etc..., the darn software was still hanging on a very stable XP laptop. To clarify, I could connect, but not sync, or access the windows folder on the ppc. Anyway, I noticed that only two of three activesync related .exe's were running when I checked the firewall. At that point, I shut down the firewall, and right away all my contacts, tasks, etc... finally synced! With that said, the same XP laptop never had any major "hanging" problems with either activesync 4.0 or 4.1 before the ROM update. Long story short, check your firewall. Also, there are many activesync problem threads here that may help, maybe try a search, and if you still are having problems, a google search will usually provide some good insight.
