Three Questions?
1. Is the wmodem Utility still included in the new ROM?
2. Does the Unit perform a factory reset during the Rom update(All User Information is deleted)?
3. Is there less RAM available after the update?

Thanks everyone for this. Update went with no issues. Nice to see something come though from Sprint (Esp after being left in the dark with the 6600 evdo update.)
GPS enable finding..
HCLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Hide switch from 1 to 0 and reset. GPS icon will then show in the Settings screen.

Yes to the first two, not quite sure on #3.

I posted the clean-boot memory stats early in this thread or late in the now-closed one.
Yes, all data wiped so you'll be rebuilding like all of us right now

Do I need an exchange account to get email pushed now that I have this update, or is the push update just for people using exchange?

For those who have multiple pop servers, set a polling interval for all of them and see if they all poll on schedule--it should work now.

Did you get Voice Command to work as before or does it go looking for voice tags. That is what mine is doing.

After enabling Directpush, email flew into my inbox on my phone much faster than it made it to my Outlook inbox on my PC.
Also, I didn't get nagged by the "you have new email message" notifier.
I'm happy.

How did you enable direct push?

IE hard button now opens program and doesn't revert back to home page every time.
Kinda makes you think they've been reading these forums for all the most common/useful hacks.

Wasn't obvious at first, but I found that 7th button in the CommManager did the trick to enable Directpush. I also had previously made sure it was enabled on our Exchange 2003 SP2.

Most of the bugs were reported to Sprint months ago. Shadowmite had a huge list he submitted directly to an insider at Sprint.

This is what I have noticed within 15 minutes of use.
My bluetooth is nice and loud now. Thank GOD!!!!
I am on the border of EVDO and a 1x tower. I did get 100kbit and now I am pushing 500 on average. I cant wait till I am in full range to see what she can do. With the voice tags setup all I have to do is hit my bluetooth talk-hangup button and the voice dialer starts right up. This I love. I am still having fun with this stuff. How do you get the bluetooth to stream anything without the voice dialer starting up is what I am trying to do right now. When I hit the button it starts up then quits if you do not say anything. This is with media player playing music. I can hear the music which sounds rather clear now but can not seem to hold the music stream.

Okay, I seem to be having an small issue now. Now, then the EV session is active, I cannot receive an incoming call. The phone seems to ignore it.

Just tested--phone call interrupts EV-DO data transmission just fine.

It doesn't for me. When the bars are white, the call keeps ringing.
