Exact reason why you should just reinstall from scratch.

Just Finished! NICE!!

Got the 260-6 the first time I ran the update. Fixed it by taking out the usb and soft reset. Than it worked fine

1. After you install the new rom, can you do a restore from a sprite backup to reinstall all your software, or do you need to reinstall everything from scratch?

2. Can anyone confirm whether the new rom has the update for push email via exchange server.

Thanks!

Why would you want to? System files ahve changed, Reg files have changed. Why put reg/system files from the OLD rom onto the NEW rom? It wouldnt be smart to do a restore.

Okay, I bricked my phone but was able to recover by partially following darknight's instructions and by snapping it out of its coma by bringing up the hard reset dialog, then cancelling. I now have the progress bar like everybody else, and everything is running smoothly.

On the Comm Manager is an icon with an envelope and an arrow pointing inwards to it. I'm guessing this is the push email settings, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

CAB: \Extended_ROM\RTPlugin_CDMA.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PhoneSetting_HelpFile.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PowerICON.sa.CAB

CAB: \Extended_ROM\PT_RemoveHTCBatteryICON_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_Version_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_HTC_CM_Guardian_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
