Exact reason why you should just reinstall from scratch.

Just Finished! NICE!!

Got the 260-6 the first time I ran the update. Fixed it by taking out the usb and soft reset. Than it worked fine

2. Can anyone confirm whether the new rom has the update for push email via exchange server.

Thanks!

Why would you want to? System files ahve changed, Reg files have changed. Why put reg/system files from the OLD rom onto the NEW rom? It wouldnt be smart to do a restore.

Okay, I bricked my phone but was able to recover by partially following darknight's instructions and by snapping it out of its coma by bringing up the hard reset dialog, then cancelling. I now have the progress bar like everybody else, and everything is running smoothly.

On the Comm Manager is an icon with an envelope and an arrow pointing inwards to it. I'm guessing this is the push email settings, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

agreed - some of these seem pretty obvious:

CAB: \Extended_ROM\PhoneSetting_HelpFile.sa.CAB
-additional help docs
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PowerICON.sa.CAB
-new power icon
CAB: \Extended_ROM\TimeSnyc.sa.CAB
-enable time sync automatically
CAB: \Extended_ROM\HiddenDurationPage.sa.CAB
-probably turn on the "disconnect/duration" hack which should have been on in the first place
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PT_RemoveHTCBatteryICON_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
-remove htc battery icon because of new power icon
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_IOTA_v1_10_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
-latest IOTA update
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_Version_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
-replaces Version.sa.CAB from old config

the rest are beyond me...
CAB: \Extended_ROM\DirectShow.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\RTPlugin_CDMA.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\ResString.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_ErrCodeForSPCS_Apache_206300.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_HTC_CM_Guardian_Apache_206300.sa.CAB

EDITED to include further observations.

One note after doing the upgrade (very smooth) I skipped the Extended Rom Cab Install (will customize) and had to test for SmartDialer:

It is now built in to this new Rom Update....PPC6700 now has HTC SmartDialer no Hack is needed!

Yea, I can now build DialPad skins and Custom Smardialer Skins! No more tweaking between Verizon and Sprint Smartdialer issues!

CAB: \Extended_ROM\Version.sa.CAB

is in the old one but not in the new one.

CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_Version_Apache_206300.sa.CAB

probably replaces it.

Does it now have Smart Dialing or will the Kokkos smart dialer still work? Someone said there is a new dialer interface (in so many words) can we get screen shots of that?

The Kokkos Silver-Gold Skin works flawlessly with new ROM no smartdialer install needed. I will be updating over the next few days all of the skins I have posted and modified to be compliant.

For now the Silver-Gold is compliant.
