(I know, the Sprint site lists it, but that is incorrect).
OK, your confusing your acronyms. Let's try this again:

New ROM=AKU2
Bluetooth Stereo Profile=A2DP
The new ROM (AKU2) does NOT contain bluetooth stereo profile (A2DP)

heh, I know it's acronym hell. It's a microsoft product, what else is new?

For those who might be wondering, AKU stands for Adaption Kit Update, which is just a weird way of saying Service Pack (which is not entirely accurate either, since new AKUs are not user-installable). For those who had a previous Pocket PC based on Windows Mobile 2003SE, if you ever got a new ROM containing Windows Media Player 10--that was an AKU update (2.6 I believe).

After doing the upgrade, my PRL went from 20219 to 20217. Every time I dial *2 it tells me there's an update, goes through the routine, but the PRL doesn't update.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Bizarre. There is no PRL file in the ROM update, so your guess is as good as mine as to how that happened. Are you *positive* you had 20219 before?

I have upgraded and I absolutely cannot find global address lookup in my contacts or email. I dont not believe it is part of the the new ROM. Is anyone sure it is?

Definitely. I logged onto my acct online and sent an e-mail requesting I get flagged, go it updated, and an annoying gap in my ride to work was fixed. After the firmware update, I had that gap again, checked the phone, and it's 20217. This time I didn't have to ask to be flagged, the first call to *2 said I needed an update. And the 2nd, and 3rd ... I talked to tech suppt for awhile last night and they tried some things, but no go. So next it's a trip to the Sprint store.

I don't know most of what you all are talking about. But since the update my brick is screaming and I haven't even installed PHM yet or changed any reg settings. Wow!

First off, THANK YOU GUYS for this forum! I was TOTALLY freaking lost until I found this on a Google Search.

I've been spending the past WEEK trying to get my HT820 BlueTooth Headphones to work with the new ROM. The fact that Sprint OFFICIALLY posts that A2DP support is in this release has totally taken me for a ride.

Thanks for posting the voicecommand registry hack to force-open the audio gateway.

It appears from reading this forum that a beta release had a .cab file that allowed A2DP support. Is anyone working on this? I for one would be more than happy to PayPal someone who successfully puts this together.

Thanks again for hosting this forum. I feel enlightened now reading all of this.

And damn you Sprint for your inaccurate readme's!

It's a part of the update, in the contacts application you need to goto Menu>Find Online. Enter the name and it will hit the gal on the exchange server, works great on my end.

tangmu,

FYI...I updated to the new rom two days ago, did the ##786# EVDO fix, extended rom hack, got push to work, etc.

My prl is 20218
**EDIT**
Didn't ask to be flagged for a PRL update. Will do that now and let you know where that leaves me.
**EDIT2**
Ok got flagged....Requested the update....first call to *2 did nothing....second call screen showed "Programming..." in yellow. After about 15 seconds it said "Programming Complete" and then said it would restart in ten seconds. I let it restart and now my PRL shows 20219.

Not sure if that helps you.

Thank you! That's just what I was looking for. Now, is there a way to view others' shared calendars?

Boy I must be missing something very basic. I have done the ROM upgrade. Settings/Device Information says my ROM is 2.06.00 WWE

I got into Contacts/Menu and here is what I see
New Contact
Bean Contact
Copy Contact
Delete Contact
Options...
View By
Filter
Add Voice Tag ...

Where does search GAL go? Are you sure you did not install this app separately?
