hack to alter low battery warning notification??

So am I the only one that hates how early the low battery warning starts? Does anyone know of the registry location to change this? With such a battery hog, I see that damn warning everyday

I'll second that...and also, how often must the thing remind me that the battery is low?? I think I got about 15 notifications.

As for battery life, I'm pretty happy with it all in all. I came from Nextel so I don't have high expectations.

Look into SK Tools, I use it to enable low battery warning in notifications but it does a lot of other handy stuff as well.

copy and pasted from http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocket...battery_alerts

Browse to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\
Create a String value named "Default" and set its value to "Low battery warning".
Now go to Start > Settings > Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications applet > Notifications tab, select "Low battery warning" in the "Select an event" drop-down list and you can customize it.

how to: disable low battery warning

ok, now here is somthing i find soo intresting , i have had my ppc 6700 since the day it came out. i have noticed over the time span i have had my phone.(i have bought a new battery since). I always seem to come to a close around 3pm when my 20% battery warning ligt comes on. Now , I understand it comes on becuase it is letting me know the battery needs a recharge, well this is not entirely true. if i use the phone for quite a while longer the battery will I said will leasy AT LEAST another 3 hours or more. one time my battery came on at 3 and the phone didnt shut down until 10 30 at night. go figure. now i dont want to recalibrate the battery or anything crasy like that. I personally think the damn battery is better then everyone on this board thinks it is , the warning is just premature, trust me . after testing this theroy over and over again is not the battery sucks its the battery indicator sucks.

now that being said, what i am looking for a person who know how to SHUT this "battery level low" warning off for good. thier must be a hack that will make me not see or hear that warning , so i can just really find out , about my batteies life spand for the day.

thank you and hack is much needed.

That is a nifty hack, but it still does not lower the level of the actual warning. Let me look and see if I can find it.

Taco Joe,

Are you saying that PhoneAlarm allows you to alter the built in battery level alert, or does it just let you customize a separate one? Altering the built in alert would be nice but I don't think I would install another program just for that feature. A reg-edit would be ideal.

The alert is especially annoying with an extended battery. I have the 3200 mah from seidio, and at 20% that still leaves me at 40-50% of the capacity of the stock battery.
