Connecting to other machines on my Wireless Network with the 6700??

I'm having problems connecting to other machines on my wireless network at home via "FileExplorer/Menu/Open Path/". Yeah, My Wifi is turned on

I enter the name of the machine and it just says it cannot connect. Doesn't even give me a chance to enter my username and passwork. I know I'm on the network because I look at my settings and I see that my connection is good and I see the name of my ssid and other settings. I can also get into webapps on my local network via "http:" but I can't get in through the file system.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Eric

I would suggest that you download and install Total Commmander which is free, and it will be a whole lot easier to map network drives with that software. It also comes with some other cool features such as an FTP client and registry editor.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll give it a shot and let you know if that did the trick.

I found the problem. Under "Settings/Network Cards/Network Adapters/", I needed to select "tiacxwln Compatible Wireless Etherne...". I guess by default, it doesn't know which adapter will be used.
I can now jump onto any shared drive on my local network! Nifty!!

Thanks
