Use SmartDialer an Kokkos mod and you won't ever look at the contacts list again.

I have not tried this, so I don't know if it will work. Change how they appear on Outlook on your PC and then sync again. You might try changing just one to see if it works. Wait a minute-I've done this with businesses and it works. Open Outlook on your Computer-change the file as and it should work. Let us know.

There is also third party software that does this.

You can do it through Outlook. When you put in a new contact, there is a drop down arrow on the option, "File as".

Yes, I use this feature in Outlook to get my contacts listed in "Fname Lname" format on my phone. As touchless21 said, open the contact in Outlook and look for the "File as:" drop-down on the General tab. I discovered this AFTER entering in all my contacts into Outlook, so I had to go back and change this setting manually for each one. Had I known ahead of time, I would have used the option that will default all new contacts entered in Outlook to adhere to the style you prefer...in Tools->Options->Contact Options. Unfortunately, this setting will NOT be applied to any new contacts you enter using the phone itself. You will have to sync to get the new contact from the phone into Outlook, then modify the "File as:" setting, then sync again.
