After it spends some time in sleep mode, it seems to just stay in a sleep mode!!

Weird problem I have with my XV6700. After it spends some time in sleep mode, it seems to just stay in a sleep mode I can't wake it up from. The lights up top still blink, it has power, but I can't get the screen on and it won't take calls. A soft reset fixes this, but it's annoying and has cuased me to miss a few calls. Any ideas? Any and all help appreciated, thanks!

Dan

Do a search for DSOD. This has been discussed to death, and is a known issue.

I thought Verizon users don't have DSOD problems related to suspend/sleep mode issues. Interesting...

Sorry, but nobody enjoys regurgitating the same answers and explanations over and over again. Except for the vendors that post here, no one gets paid to share information. This is unlike the "professional" Verizon tech support staff that you can call if you don't want to read through threads, but good luck getting answers from them as they often are not even aware of the problems.

In this case there is no simple explanation and no easy fix. If you want to understand the problem better read the existing threads, otherwise you can just wait for the AKU 2.x ROM update like the rest of us, and hope it gets fixed by that.

Hello and welcome. Before starting a new thread, if you can please search, this would really help me out a lot. When you start a redundant thread (especially one on a topic that has been beaten to death) it clutters things and makes it harder for people to locate information when they do search. Also, if you can please take a moment and read the sticky forum posting message at the top of the forum (http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66189), that would be great. Lots of good information in that post that will be helpful to you in regards of how to go about extracting information from this forum. You should pay special attention to the first two items, thread titling and searching, as these are issues with your thread that you started here. Remember, no one wants to help someone that they perceive to be lazy.

Because this is a redundant thread, I am going to go ahead and lock it, hope that is ok with you. However, you should review the following threads:

http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57073
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showt...highlight=DSOD

They are both rather long but if you take the time to read them, you will see that there is no easy solution to your complicated problem. Thanks!
