i just recieved my gamepad, but whenever i install the program via the drivers downloaded from chainpus, it says it cant launch the gamepad program. says that it is either unsigned, or has a bad component. i checked chainpus site, and couldnt find contact info for tech support. im sure some of you have used chainpus products b4, maybe even this pad. anyone know how to make it work, or have a tech support number or email? thanks.
I don't know how to fix this, but I hope someone does, because I really wanted to pick up that BT gamepad for my emulators, since the button layout on the 6700 is less than optimal for gameplay...
I have the bluetooth gamepad, works fine on my PPC-6700. I had to search for the most recent drivers in order for it to work correctly though. The drivers that came with it didn't work. I believe i have version 1.50

I recently purchased the chainpus bluetooth gamepad and I have had excellent results. I had no problem loading the software and setting up the device. After the initial pairing (which takes about 10 seconds), I find that it takes about 3 seconds to pair. You should have better luck by downloading the current driver from their website. The current driver I am using is version 1.50. BTW, I purchased the gamepad for 38 dollars with free shipping at www.freeshippingdeal.com, though it seems to be intermittently available at that site.
The gamepad sits well in my hands and feels sturdy enough to withstand the abuse of a well-seasoned gamer.
Anyways, I have used the gamepad with a few programs, namely pocketnester, Pocketsnes, and CEGG (game gear emulator).
With pocketnester (which loads all the roms I'ves tried), there is negligible lag, which I don't even notice after I've been playing for a few seconds. The lag is actually reduced if I close all other programs. I have tried to use the "KBfix" program I found on this site, but it seemed to make no difference...I've had no problem hitting multiple buttons. The gamepad, when used with pocketnester and Pocketsnes understands "diagonal" direction, which is vital to playing street fighter 2 and contra.
As far as the PocketSNES, the experience has been more difficult, due to the high processor demands of the emulation, I suppose. Sometimes when using the gamepad to play Street Fighter 2, the gamepad locks up and won't respond for a while. As soon as I turn back to pocketnester and resync, it works like a charm. I figure the processor is a little overloaded. I plan on hopefully fixing this issue by stopping all extraneous processes on the device, installing hackmaster to speed up the unit; I may also try the morphgear version. Anyone get SNES to emulate well?
No problems here either, other than a slight lag. Anyone know if the updated drivers help with this? I am only using the driver CD provided with the unit.
just recently got the gamepad. Am using 1.50 drivers also. The lag makes it a bit frustrating to play games like streetfighter 2 or other button intensive games. The emulators I have tried is pocket nes and morphgear 9x snes. I also overclocked to 512 mhz to see if the lag goes away, but the lag is still there. The games i tried were pocket nes mega man 2, and snes street figther 2 and gradius 3.
