Start here. You should be able to walk through the settings like any other computer from here.

START -> SETTINGS -> CONNECTIONS -> NETWORK CARDS

Have you turned on your wireless? Click on the EV or 1X icon and turn on wireless?

once you turn on wifi in the wireless manager application it should detect your wireless network and ask you if you would like to join it. If there is a passcode it will ask you to enter it. thats it.

By turning on WiFi, it should use that connection rather than dial. I think you have to turn it on manually though.

which, IMO, is the way it oughta be; as WIFI drains my battery like no other. Is that normal? it drains it MUCH faster than EVDO or 1xRTT.

if using wifi on a regular basis thruout the day (i.e. in my office building and server room for checking email, SMS'ing, and TermServices during the day), I HAVE to charge it during the day sometime for it to last me into the late evening.
I'm sure this has been discussed a fair amount, but just thought i'd bring it up.
