Backlight turns off when docked

This has just all of a sudden happened. When I dock my XV6700, the backlight turns off. It will sync fine and all, but the backlight will be off. Please help me with getting it to be back on. Thanks guys.

Hold the power button..

Also I find it best to turn the unit off before docking or removing from the dock to avoid the odd blacklight mode switch.

I've had my setting mysteriously change to set the brightness of the screen all the way down when on external power. Check your backlight settings and I'm sure you can fix it.

I've experienced this a few times, now I always turned the unit off before I put it in the cradle. Have not had the problem witht the brightness since.

Geez, this had been driving me nuts too. Just started happening on its own. Sure enough, the backlight on power setting was all the way down. Thanks for making me feel stupid

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago..... backlight started turning off as soon as I connected the phone to any external power source, whether car adaptor, AC adaptor or the sync cradle. BUT in my case, the backlight settings were still set appropriately (turnoff backlight after X minutes box was unchecked, slider was set to full brightness)

The only thing I found to fix this was to toggle the external power backlight settings a couple of times. The power button had no effect.
