unscheduled alarms keep going off!!

I use the standard alarm when I'm on the road in the hotels(cuz I don't trust them). 4 days ago I had an early wake up and when the alarm went off, I dismissed the alarm and then unchecked the alarm. Since then my alarm has gone off every morning at the same time regardless of check mark or time on alarm(I changed the timehoping that would fix the problem).

Being at a loss, I turn to you once again for all the wisdom and satire possible.

Please help your friend Dave

I posted this same thing after returning from a trip. Nobody had any advice, but somebody posted that they had seen the same thing before. I never got it fixed, but after a hard reset I no longer had this problem.

Don't hard reset!

Use a program to remove the alarm from the list of event notifications. Try MemMaid or SKTools (I find MemMaid is more user friendly).

Try it and come back if you need more assistance.

Did that fix it for you?

Yes it did Harley, thank you.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to leave well enough alone. With the little bit of knowledge you gave me, I went hog wild on my poor little 6700. Using Memmaid, I started cleaning out things that I didn't underrstand. I ceased to be able to sync with my computer. After much consternation and reading hear, I ended up Hard Reseting anyway...doh!

The only thing I'm really having trouble replacing is my Voice Command, I still have the upgrade version, but I have misplaced the original 1.0 required to install. I sure don't want to have to buy the whole program again. Hopefully I'll find it soon...

Thanks again Harley,

Dave
