error when browsing on home wifi: "Page cannot be found" (other APs work fine)
Hey all,
I am having a problem with my WiFi connection at home...I tried connecting to a couple WAPs and have successfully connected to one (it was a Linksys WAP) - at home, I have an open Dlink WAP. I can connect to it with my TiVo and laptop (both wireless) and when I run WLan on my 6700, it pulls the correct SSID and gets a valid IP address.
When I try to connect to a site, though, it says "Page cannot be found" - Basically, it sees the WAP and gets the IP, but won't connect to the WAN.
Any ideas? Any reason it looks to be set up correctly, but then cannot access the internet?
I'm using the exact same router and firmware and mine works fine. This sounds like a DNS problem. What are your router DNS settings? Have your tried accessing an internet website by IP address rather than DNS?

Tapped and held on my SSID... Clicked "Remove Settings". Turned the WLAN radio off and back on, typed my network key back in and viola! I'm on the internet.
