First off I wanna say this site rocks. Lots of great info for all types of Phones...lets keep up the good work.

I was wondering if you guys/gals can help me out. I have the XV6700 from Verizon. I currently check 3 pop accounts. Two of which work and the third (Gmail) dosen't work any more. I set up my gmail accouunt and it worked for about two days...then all of a sudden i was not able to connect to the pop.gmail.com or smtp.gmail.com servers.

I tried every which way, adding the port 995 for pop and 465 for smtp. But still nothing. Thinking it was a connectivity issue i downloaded vxUtil...great Network tools...using this utility i was able to name resolve pop.gamil.com & smtp.gmail.com. I was able to ping them both also...i was even able to use the port scanner and find that 995 and 465 were both open on pop & smtp respectively.

So now i am scratching my head and real fustrated. I decided to download some other pop clients...latest one i tested was flexmail...believe it or not i was able to use my gmail account without any issues for two days. I then uninstalled the flexmail because it crashed every once in a while, it is still in BETA and the interface was not as easy to use as the Windows Messaging on WM 5.0.

Thinking it must be something on the messenger account i decided to delete all my accounts and recreate them all. But here is the issue...everytime i delete all my accounts and do a soft reset they comeback after the soft reset......VERY Fustrating....if i get my messaging client back to the defauls that it came with i am sure i can get the gmail account working again.

Does any one know what the problem might be.....why do my accounts reappear after a soft reset? Why can't i use my gmail account with the messaging client? Any thoughts or ideas?
