losing newly setup email accounts in P-Outlook after soft reset

New xv6700 user here. So far I like the device except for one problem, support for POP3 in Pocket Outlook seems to be abysmal. Every time I soft reset I loose all account settings and email. Is there a fix around this or better email clients available?

The only solution I have found is to set the account up, wait a couple of minutes, close messaging and then turn off the 6700. Turn it up again and verify the account is still there and close and turn off again. After that you can soft reset as many times as you need. It works for me, and only have to do the first time I set up an account. Hope it works for you...

I figured out what the problem was. It turns out active sync was overwriting my settings every time after I reset for some reason.

New ROM Email Account Not Sticking after soft reset

I recently updated my rom. Everything works just fine except when I configure my Gmail Account it sets up properly and picks up my mail. The Pushmail Program even picks up the program. When I soft reset the phone the account vanishes. I've inputted the information multiple times and everytime I soft reset it goes away. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

the account probably hasn't been written to the ROM yet (still in RAM) so it doesn't get saved when you soft reset. after you get the gmail account setup, put the phone in flight mode and then bring it back out of flight mode, I believe this causes any changes you've made to be written to ROM. if that doesn't work, wait about an hour and the phone will automatically write it to ROM.

Vanishing email settings and accounts after soft resets

Because of a failed attempt at using Profimail, and the fact that it wouldn't uninstall (it wasn't on my "Remove Programs" list), I did a hard reset on my XV6700, then set up my two email accounts on Poutlook again. I've been using Poutlook with these two accounts forever.

Now, for some reason, Poutlook won't retain the second email account I added, after I do a soft reset. It just vanishes/disappears as if it were never there. On the first email account, after I do a soft reset it loses settings, such as when I change it to "Download Entire Message", after a reset, all of a sudden it's "Download Message Headers Only."

It's acting very odd. I called UTStarcom and they said they had seen this and/or heard of it but it "is a Level 2 issue" and I need to call back during regular hours.

I'm reluctant to go through another Hard Reset, so was wondering if anyone had seen/experienced any of these issues?

Thanks!

I am having a similar problem every few months. i will add a pop3 account and have it survive resets for awhile ....only to have it disappear. now the weird part is when i go to add that account again: "playdeep" , it will tell me the name is in use. So i have to make a playdeep1 or playdeep2.....this has happened enough i am on the 4th incarnation of my accounts. Kinda annoying.
