Yes....vijay PhoneTools

I don't know if PocketPlus has anything built-in. I know Wisbar Advanced Desktop has the ability to make a call shortcut built-in.

If you like Spb check out their Diary..it adds PIM functions for 5 different things, Calendarm, Text, Contacts, Notyes and Tasks, Their integration of Contacts into the today screen is bad ass IMO.

Personal Information Manager. SPB Diary (another option is PocketBreeze) is basically a way to view contact/calendar/task (PIM) info on your today screen. Both developers offer a program (apparently built-in to SPB Diary, I have never used it) that allow you quick access to contacts on your today screen.

I don't believe either lets you have a photo and just click on it, which is what the link I included will do. But maybe SPB Diary would be enough.

Remember, most applications have trials, so you can test them before buying them.

Diary doesnt allow pictures....but it does have several ways to customize the screen, layout, size and a bunch of other stuff so you can really tweak it to present the most or the style ya like and easily sort on filter, alphebet short cuts and other things like that.

Def do the free trial before you buy to make sure you like it.

or check out this link , 4th image down, for images of it to see if it fits your drift:

Wow, just learned somethig cool, on the bottom of the contacts display in Diary it shows a modified alphabet that sorts data via T9 like the smart dialer. Makes sorting through your contacts if you have a large list pretty cool via the today screen...learn something new every day.

interesting. I have always loved spb and have all their products but use pocketbreeze. does spb diary support adding custom tabs so i can run today plugins within spb diary like in pocketbreeze? If not I may just have to email them that suggestion as it would basically but them on par with pocketbreeze and I would rather have all spb products on my today screen as aI already got spb plus, spd time, spb finance.

No they dont have support for custom tabs. I imagine since in their latest version they just added support for Text, Weather, Finance and B-Days Anniv that will probably be next. I think those updates put them equal to PB minus the customs...

I like how it adds the SpB weather into the calendar so as Im looking at it in Diary it has the weather there, kinda neat.

I don't believe that SPB P+ allows you to change the icon image, that's why you have the default phone icon. The only ones I know that does would have to be iLauncher or WAD.

JAYNO20: you have to read the various guides I post around on making custom icons. Check out modaco and xda devs. Search for VJSMS and you'll find posts on how to do this...
