I use mobile.msn.com/pocketpc as my homepage and use their Live Search. Just type in a word like "Pizza" and enter a zip or address and it will find all pizza places in and around that area. Formatted for PPC so it's fast. Also you can click on the name of the result and it will load a map and give you the option to add the listing as a contact to your 6700 with a click of a button! Very cool IMO.
This works for both land line and mobile: 800 373 3411 It is free, you sometime have to listen to a 10 second or less audio ad, that is how they pay for the service. I personally put it into speed dial and preceded the number with *67 so they can't harvest my phone number. Somebody told me *67 doesn't work for 800 numbers, don't know. I have my cell phone number listed on the don't call list with the FTC so I don't really care.

Google and MSN's local searches work great (MSN referenced above). For an app Info2Go works for single queries, catn do more then one at a time without exiting the app.
Note that it requires the .NET CF Framework 2.0 to run, as an increasing number of applications do lately.
There's a new post in the original thread indicating that a version of Bogles411 will be released next week that works with .NET CF 1.1, which is included in the standard ROM on the 6700 models.

Thats great. I saw the Bogles411 yesterday at WebIS and was so disappointed that it used the .NET CF 2.0. I am hoping to avoid installing 2.0 to try to conserve the precious memory.

Thanks for the info! I saw the app yesterday and wasn't going to install it because of the need for CF 2.0. Can't wait for this new version!
CF 2.0 will install most all files on your device even if you specify storage card at some point. And it takes up a bunch of space. Here is the excerpt of this on the .Net CF 2.0 Team Blog.

While it is technically possible to redirect installation of NETCF onto storage card via standard Active Sync/WCELOD capabilities, it won’t save precious RAM on device. NETCF files have to be in \Windows folder in order for NETCF to function properly.
If NETCF is installed to storage card, NETCF files will be initially deployed to it. However, at some point they would moved to \Windows folder taking out exactly the same space as normal installation would.
In some cases attempt to use storage card would lead to installation failure due to some subtle storage card issues. Thus it’s not recommended to install NETCF V2 to storage card or embedded storage and there are no benefits of doing so.
