I have had the problem of the sent emails not appearing in the Sent folder, even though I have chosen that option. They usually wind up in the Sent Items folder, but sometimes not.

Problems with sent mail and "Sent Items" folder
I have a XV6700, WM 5.0, Verizon. I use Pocket Outlook. My IMAP email is provided by a web-hoster as a companion to my website. I have no problems accessing this with, say, Thunderbird. I use Verizon's SMTP server. I have the option checked to "save sent emails in Sent folder."
1. Usually, the sent emails wind up in the Sent Items folder. But sometimes it doesn't. What happens is that the emails hit the Sent Items folder for a few seconds then disappear. I believe that the status of the above mentioned opiton ("save sent emails in...) doesn't affect this occasional happening. Nor does using my web-hoster's SMTP server.
2. Accessing Fastmail using IMAP, and using either the Fastmail SMTP server or Verizon's means the emails NEVER stay in the Sent Items folder - the only appear there for a few seconds.
3. When I am in my office or home, I frequently connect via a wireless network. My ISP is Optimum Online in both places. Optimum blocks Port 25, so I have to use their SMTP server (unless someone can tell me how to tell WM to use a different port that is not blocked so that I can use other SMTP servers). Using Optimum's SMTP server, sent emails, again, NEVER wind up in the Sent Items folder, even on my web-hosted email wherein it mostly works using Verizon's server.
I think there are issues between WM 5.0 and/or Pocket Outlook with SMTP servers, but this is only my guess. Anyone have ideas.
BTW, I have done searches on the forums first...

I have a good solution: Install the Flexmail public beta, then buy it when it comes out for real. I have only found one quirk in it so far. This is by the Webis people. See
www.webis.net, chose "forums" and to the the public beta forum.
If you want to know the Flexmail quirk I found, private email me.
