I found out why when some people overclock there phone locks up or is not stable!!
I saw in another post that someone put this and it got me wondering....

well there is a way a company chooses a processor for devices... a tech will test a clock for a certain speed. lets say the default of 412. if it pass, then it gets thrown in the good bin... if it fails, and does only 360 lets say, it gets thrown in a bin for devices that have a slower processor... same with overclocking our devices... not all chips are the same... some will do 624... some may only do 520. some... sad to say.. might not even do any speeds above 412.

He is completely correct. I was having trouble at keeping my processor overclocked at 624 MHz. When I was in windows media player watching a movie at full screen my ppc would either freeze or flat out exit out of the program. That xv6700 broke and it was within the 15 days that I purchased it so I returned it and got an exchange on the same kind of phone. My new xv6700 now will stay at 624MHz with no problems and is VERY stable. So for those having trouble with overclocking to 624MHz I beleave its because all of out CPU's are just a little differnt and some can hold 624MHz and other cannot. I hope this helps a lot of people that were having trouble with this.
