how fast will my batteries drain when playing mp3s ??

I have never used any type of mp3 player before, & wanted to find out how fast will my battery drain if i play mp3's on my 6700? The reason i ask is because I’m thinking about getting a sd card just for that reason & hope that it is worth the investment.

Be prepared to keep a charger! I just have one in my car and anywhere else I'll be. I think from a full charge I was able to get 90 minutes out of it.

I don't think playing mp3's in and of itself drains the battery that fast. On a recent long flight I started with a fully charged battery and played mp3s for at least three hours. Of course, that was with the phone turned off. I was still able to make some phone calls after the plane landed. I put the player in shuffle mode and keep the screen backlighting off. I think the backlight drains power faster than playing songs does.

I found a thread with Mortsaver causing batt loss and I think that is why mine was going down so quick. My phone is much better now on battery!

Are you saying that activating mortsaver drained your battery? Could you provide a link to that thread?

Thanks.

I've listened to mp3s on my 6700 for about 2 to 3 hours through out the day and still have about 60% to 40% og my batter left by days end depending onhow much I've used my phone for calls furing the day. It really helps out f you have an MP3 player program on your PPC that will turn off the display - Not the Back light, but actually the display it's self saves a ton of battery. I used a program called GSPlayer which does a good job at turning of the screen and locking the buttons. the program is a but qurky to run on WM5 but does the job.
