Got a BRAND NEW PPC 6700 for $ 220 without a new contract!!
i just had the greatest thing happen to me. i got a brand new PPC 6700 straight from Sprint for only $220 without signing a new contract adding service or anything like that. it all started a month ago when my crappy lg mm535 slider phone started acting up. the phones horrible and has a million things wrong with it. i had taken it to the sprint store 3 times and they kept telling me they upgraded the software which seemed to make it worse every time. i finally called sprint a month ago and explained everything to them. they told me they would order me a replacement. well a month later and a thousand calls later they tell me that they can do a replacement over the phone and that they dont carry that model anymore. i was soo frustrated i told the supervisor i was on the phone with i wanted to cancel my sprint service and go with verizon becuase i needed my phone that i had been without for a month. she transfered me to the sprint cancellation department and told me they might be able to help. i explained the whole situation to the lady and she said that she would order me a replacement and said since they didnt have the lg 535 they would compromise and give me a different similar phone. i asked her if i could pay to upgrade to the 6700 and she said they would charge me the 600 flat fee for it and when i sent my old broken lg phone back i would receive a credit for $380 since thats what that phones worth. so basically i got a brand new 6700 for $220 and ive only had sprint for about 6 months!!
if anyone has serious sprint issues they can try and work it out through the cancellation department at 1800 658 7564.
its actually called the rentention department and you do not necessarily have to speak with them to get the deal you got, most Sprint reps can do it. The trick is to find one willing to send you a return kit for whatever reason (consistent hardware failure, whatever). After you get the kit, ship the phone back to Sprint, your account automatically gets credited whatever price the phone is currently selling for, and you are free to buy whatever phone you want.

thats what i thought as ive had that done before. however since the 1st of the year everything has changed at sprint as they made me aware and they no longer do over the phone replacements. since i had been told they would however i get arguing till i talked to the lady at the rentention dept and she did it for me.
thats the true beauty of the situation. i had bent sent the lg throught lockline as a replacement for an older phone which i payed like 300 for. that one broke i called lockline they sent me the lg for the 50 dollar deductable.
so add the cost of the original phone that was broken 300 and the 50 dollar deductable to the 220...then tell us what you paid for a 6700 total...no sense in making it something that its not and no your contract may not have been extended but wait till they change your vision to a power vision plan...then tell you that it will be another 2 years before you can personally upgrade your equipment aside from what sprint can, cant, will or wont do...some how your honey of a deal just doesnt seem so sweet now does it

I walked into a sprint store and they pricematched ebay for $250+tax. Took me betwen 10-15 mins by the time I walked in the door and the time I walked out because I was in a rush. Seems like a lot less hassle.

yea except that phone was a year old and i had gotten my use out of it. you dont go saying you paid xxx for your 6700 plus xxx for an old phone that you used before. the replacement lg phone i got was for my old old old phone that i paid 300 for
thats because my old account was under my moms name but i turned 18 2 years ago and switched it to my name 6 months ago. so i just meant ive had this account.
