The Smartdial does not work with this dialer as far as I know. I have tried the skins and Smartdial cabs from Kokkos and they work great.

It would be nice to have the Eten dialer with the Smart dial. Anyone have this combination working?

Would love that combination as well.

Could somebody PLEASE work on that thanks in advance

different colors???

hey all just wondering if anyone had translated the other colors yet besides orange and blue. Love them both but the other colors would be really cool......also noticed that the new 700 pic cab program will display the pics in the eten dialer as the original wouldnt after the install.

Am I missing something? Where are all the color cabs? I have been using the blue one for a long time, and now I want to change color, and I cant find them.

Thanks for the heads-up, JKingGrim. Also, if you haven’t found it already, the E-TEN cab can be found in the first post in the link you gave, if that’s what you’re asking.

I’ve modified the skin you linked to just a bit to clean it up.

Attached are the modified images. Just replace the originals (from the link above) with these. I have also included a blank arrow image if you want to create a different arrow…it took forever to find the correct cropped bit to match up with the background.

Thanks again, and thanks to Jakaroe808 for your skinning work.

Thanks for the link! I am completely revamping the look of my PPC right now. I used to use traditional eten blue, with regular gui. Now I am going for a black polished vista look. The grey eten dialer, and I am also trying out wisbar agian. Owning thiis device is so fun.

Thanks sybarite.

You inspired me... So I "fixed" the orange background bitmaps. I removed that double top which really annoyed me.

Enjoy.

Am I the only one having issues with the network connection (EV) icon not working properly when this skin is installed. I went through all the fixes from the smartdialer thread and got it working again, but the phone dial pad image is now not working.

Any ideas? My EV icon is showing constant white even though there is not network activity...

I noticed that my ev never goes idle, but i didnt know it was the eten dialer doing it. Do you think it affects battery life? Perhaps we should run tests?

modified grey

I've also modified the Grey.

1) changed the top bars to be single arched, and made the colors lighter as to make text more readable in all forms of the skin.
2) cleaned up the BACKSPACE button in all forms of the skin
3) shrunk filesize by 35% by converting bitmap color depths to 16-bit instead of 24-bit (quality is still the same)

File Type: zip Pauly-A_Skin_Grey_POLISHED.zip (242.0 KB, 169 views)

So should I just copy it over to my Windows directory as I have before? I dont see how it will save me the 35% unless I uninstall the ETEN first. Is that what I am supposed to do first? If so when I uninstall it will it remove all the previous pics for the gray that I put in the Windows directory so that the 35% can indeed be saved?

Thanks

No. When you copy it over to the windows folder, it is replacing the other images. So it replaces larger files with smaller ones.
