New to posting on the site but have been a fan for a while now.

I got a reconditioned 6700 from lock\line via the sprint protection program today and i have a strange question.

How much memory does your 6700 have? all the information that i'm finding online says 128mb of memory, but mine has 49.45mb (check from start -> settings -> system -> about).

Is this correct? Did they make a 6700 with only 50mb?

I am planning on complaining to them tomorrow anyway when they are open and i think i'll bring this up but it would be nice to know if its something with the device i have or if they actually made them.

I got the 6700 as a replacement for my 6600 which i'm happy to have recieved the upgraded product, but they didnt send a cradle or anything besides the phone, the ac charger, and a battery in a box.

Anyone have any insight?

the number is correct. it has 128 but the a LOT of it is taken up by the operating system.

I would buy that but i have my ppc 6600 here that i KNOW has 128 and it is telling me 125.71. I understand the version of CE is different 2003 vs v 5.0, but do they really register the memory different?

How do i go about seeing the amount of memory BEFORE the OS takes it's chunk?

Sorry for the quick reply, I see what is going on here.

If i look in Device Information i can see the flash size as 128, the ram size is 64 (likely what is being reported in the about area) and the storage size is 43.5... so 64+43.5 = 107.5... MUCH closer to the 128 i was expecting.
