deleted voicemail but 6700 says I still have one waiting, please help

I missed a phone call from a friend, and noticed I had a voicemail.

I checked the voicemail, and deleted it as normal.....Well the notification at the bottom left and in the top tab won't go away. I need some help on getting it gone!

I've tried to disable/enable notification, nothing happens.

I've done a soft reset, nothing happens.

Call your own number from another phone and leave yourself a message (or have a friend leave you one). Dial your voicemail and listen to it (and then save or delete it). That should get rid of the icon.

This will happen from time to time. One way to prevent it is to always press * twice before you hang up on the voicemail call.

Thank you very much, what a simple fix that I didn't think of.
