I think you have to put your custom sound files on the windows folder before it is recognized on the drop down list.

put the sound files in your ../windows/rings folder and then go to notifications and sounds in your settings. i used aol's imrcv.wav as my incoming txt sound alert.

Ham is correct. It should be in the windows folder. I tested with both windows and the rings folder and the picklist was not updated until it was in windows.

Thx a bunch, I had them in ringers but that didnt populate the right notification list. Whoevere that poster was who summarized on Page and ( of the tips and tricks page all the ones that had been posted should add this to his post. I cant be the first to ask this

Thx for the help on this one !

Update, well it doesnt take .mp3's, thought it wouold since it took them for ringers. Time to convert it to wma and see if that is recognized.

hrm... seems to not be working for me... the file is a .wma also... weird, maybe something im forgetting to do.. the .wma file is in the devices\windows file.. not windows\rings


edit: got it.. needs to be a .wav file sorry if it was said..i must have missed it
