Well its over and done with, I orderd from a nice man named Tom over at SprintNetwork with ebay, called them up today, faxed them my two forms of ID this afternoon, hes going to ship it out tommorw and I'll have it Friday morning

For anyone that has gone this ebay route he is telling me that I have to sign up for a full month under a 60 dollar plan, I told him I wanted vision, unlimited txt messages and $6 insurance so he was going to add those right than and there, I currently have a 2 line family plan so he was telling me that after the 30 days I can transfer that line over (including all of the vision, txt messages and insurance) than I could cancel my older line and just take the $150 dollar hit as I don't want to pay for an extra line. Either way that seems like a good deal and is still cheaper than going the $600 route through sprint, anyone have any tips for me? Is that the best way to go about it? Thanks! Also, When I was in a Sprint store I had them look up prices for an add a line with vision etc. and the prices were much cheaper like 10 dollars for vision 7 for unlimited text, I'm worndering if those would apply if I got the single plan and converterd it into the family plan after the month?

I don't think it's possible to get the phone billed to your acct without going through Sprint or a Sprint dealer..

I know PcsPromotions.com does it but they charge you 630

They must be a Sprint dealer then. You can't expect a company to give you a discount on a phone w/o any type of new activation or plan renewal.

Add a line is the easiest and cheapest way to do it. Look at the "ebay guy" thread.

I spoke with him this morning, problem is I'd have to add a line, get a seprate 60 dollar a month plan wait a month than merge it than I'd cancel my old line as I don't need an extra one by that time im $210 dollars in the hole and it just doesn't FEEL worth it to me I guess

You can buy a 14-day return Phone for $300. The phone only has to be entered into the system and then returned. Once it's been sold once it can not be re-sold at full price, even if it hasn't actually left the store. Atleast that is what I've been told.

I'm looking to buy an XV6700 at full retail for the cheapest price possible without having to give vzw account info. I'm assuming I could buy one at Circuit City or somewhere and as long as its full retail I dont see why you would be required to give a phone # or vzw account.

I need to return mine to vzw store as I'm waiting for a refund which I will have to use to buy a 2nd phone if my trial on 6700 is already up.

Also so i dont have to start over customizing a new xv6700 I figure I can just return the brand new one I buy elsewhere. I can put in same box or whatever and though I guess they can check an esn or serial # of some sort on the device it self and say it isn't the one i bought from vzw store I dont think they should care when its brand new not even the plastic taken off and if they do then I'll say ok you want my completely hacked, used and dirty xv6700 back so I can keep the brand new one and have to start all over customizing it?

Hopefully this works one way or other and I wont have to do it again as my refund for moto v710 will come as its supposed to be within 30 days from Jan. 17th so... though there was some mention of mar. 1st. maybe that is when the website goes up that we have to get our replacment phone from, ugh. dont even know if the xv6700 will be a choice but it should be and if it is it sucks that i had to pay full retail for it when i could get it for 2 yr contract price - the 339 plus refund so possibly not have to add much if any money to get it.

otherwise to have to get another phone and sell it will suck. If when I get it i'm still within trial on whatever xv i have then i can return that one but dont think you can return the phone from yet to be established site for claimants to vzw store as you wont have receipt from there ugh.

might be nice to have a spare second xv6700 but not worth it to have paid full retail for one even if i get the second one free and def not if i have to add money to it. Just spent over 400 on a gsm moto v3i so no need to pay full retail just to have a second xv6700

hope this didn't confuse but main question again is can you just buy an xv6700 from a retailer at full retail price without giving a vzw phone # or account? cant you just say its a gift and they are going to activate it at store or over phone with vzw?

and where do you find these returned phones? I know I returned a ppc6700 before 15 day trial but I've never seen offered in any of the phone stores. refurbed or phones that were returned before 14 day trial for less. i always wondered what they did with those and I believe you that they aren't supposed to be able to sell again for full but they must because i've never seen 14 day returned phones offered or mentioned as an alternative whether they had them or not you'd think they'd mention you could wait for a returned one to get for less
