Is my 6700 Mic Defective or Is There No Noise Cancellation?

So this phone has been great so far except for the mic. I don't know if my phone is defective but it will pick up every little noise. I tried doing a test call to myself and there is no difference in how much noise will pick up between speakerphone on and with the speakerphone off. So it's the only difference between having speakerphone on and off is the how loud the incoming volume is.

Any one have a problem with this? I thought CDMA was supposed to have better background noise filter than gsm.

Agreed....

i am having the same problem. People notice a large difference between the background noise they here on this phone vs. all of my past cell phones. Does anyone have a solution??

Sprint users: has this been a problem for you for months now or is this not the case on the Sprint version?

I've reluctantly started to get used to speaking louder. It's a problem with the phone. I tested the Verizon xv6700 which is basically the same phone but in Black and there is no noise cancellation. The interesting thing was there was voice feedback on the Vz version. Meaning you can hear some of your voice in the earpiece when you are talking.
