Phone turns on at random times

My 6700 turns on by itself about 50 times a day at random intervals, and I do not know why. The phone is not alerting me of any messages or emails, and I have also attempted to hard reset the phone to no avail.

Does anyone else out there have this same problem?

This phone searches for towers and for some ungodly known reason it turns on whenever a new signal is found. If you are between towers it will bounce between signals, turning on constantly.

Thanks for the input guys. How any company could relelase a product that does things so stupid as this is uncomprehensible, let alone the fact that the device retails at $600!
