Reccomend leaving on charger overnight?

Ok, ive searched and found bits and pieces, but nothing that answers this specific question. Should I leave the 6700 on the charger overnight? I have heard the stories of people's batteries dying overnight, and I dont want that. For instance, right now I have a full battery. Should I still put it on the charger, or leave if off and risk my battery dying? Can I damage the battery by leaving it on the charger overnight when I already have a nearly full battery?

You can't overcharge a LiIon battery, it is controled by a built-in circuit board.

Leave it on the charger. No issues from mine at two week of this treatment.

I did this nightly for two years with my Treo 600, and I've been doing it for two months now with the 6700.

Regardless of how full or not full the battery is, I plug it in the charger and leave it there all night. No problems at all.

I'll echo what everyone else here has said. I leave mine on the charger all night, every night, and have had no problems at all.

I can't remember to put mine on the charger; or if I to, I forget to bring it with me when I leave the house!!

I don't like the cradle--seems hard to get it to seat, seems like it is putting too much stress on the connector so I just plug it in manually.

Send a message via AIM to macmedia

The OEM 6700 charger has a built-in overcharge protection circuit. Leave it plugged in for as long as you want with no worries.

First post here, so be gentle.

I hate to bring this thread back from the dead. I was just curious about leaving the phone on the charger. There are warning stickers on everything...the USB cable, the wall charger, etc. If it's safe to leave the charger on all night, why do all the stickers say otherwise?

Does everyone else have these warning stickers (that basically say to remove the charger once the battery is fully charged)?

Thanks! I just wanted a confirmation that I'm not going to burn my battery out in the first week of owning it.
