Disable slide wake-up?

I have a rather strange issue. I have a Mobile Glove case for my 6700 (case is for my old Treo 650), which uses a magnetic clasp. The magnet is strong enough that it triggers the slide sensor in the phone (tricks the phone into thinking that I've opened the keyboard slider). This is an issue because I will power the phone off and slide it into the case, only to have the magnet wake the phone back up. Minutes later I get a call from whomever I last called asking me to stop calling them every 2 seconds!

Any ideas on how to disable the keyboard slider from waking up the phone? Since the issue is a hardware issue, I don't see a fix happening for that...

Thanks,
Dave

PS. I tried Mortsaver as a workaround, and I'm not happy with how long it takes for the incoming caller info to display when Mortsaver is active. To me, it's not an acceptable solution.

Why dont you just Lock all buttons except Power button?

The option is in the settings/buttons/lock menu

I did that, but sliding the keyboard open still wakes up the phone. The problem is that the magnet trips the sensor in the phone that tells it the keyboard is slid open. When I put the phone in the case, it passes by the magnet and wakes up the phone. This has nothing to do with pressing buttons (until the phone wakes up).

I thought you were refering to the volume rocker. I see how that could be a problem. Buy a new case.

I know that's probably my best bet, but this is one of the best cases I've ever had. I guess I'd prefer that sliding it open not wake it up anyway. I'm hoping there's a reg hack for it. I've dug all through the registry and haven't seen anything relative to that yet.

Thanks,
Dave
