Has anyone gone back to a Treo 650 or 6600?

I'm just curious to see if anyone has why/why not? I am thinking about going back to the 650 myself. I like the 6700, but I miss the Treo even though it's a step back. I would miss the better bluetooth and the EVDO speeds. Still thinking though.

i don't see why anyone would downgrade, i mean TREO has outdated OS, but at least has a real nice design. And the 6600 doesn't have a million things that the PPC6700 does, but is has a GORGEOUS HUGE SCREEN.... but still PPC6700 w/ hacks beats them all!!

I have had my 6700 for 1 week, and still have my 6601. Picked up the 6601 tonight and the first thought was "Man this thing is huge!" I've gotten used to the smaller size and screen. The only issues I have run into so far as been software that is not ready for WM5. Other than that, with the hacks and other hints/tips/tricks here, it seems to be a great unit. A big step up from the 6601 IMO. Both are good, but I'll stay with my 6700.

I have both but only use the 650 on a daily basis. It performs so much better as a phone. If you need a phone (talking, speakerphone, text messaging, light internet, monster battery life), the 650 can't be touched. If you need a PDA (heavy internet, multi-tasking, WiFi), the 6700 can't be touched. Two different products with two very different goals and target audiences.

I went back to the 650 because of a lack of Mac sync software for the 6700. And the 6700 was buggy as all hell. But I miss EVDO.

i went back to my 6600, and gave my wife the 6700. I need screen size (big hands and GPS) and the 6700 didnt work with all my software. Miss not having evo and my bluetooth sucks. When all the bugs are out and if I dont get evo in the next 6months i might get another 6700.

I thought that the 6600 had an EV-DO update available. It may be beta, but it's supposed to work.

No, the Sprint 6600 does not have any official beta EVDO update from Sprint. Verizon 6600 does support EVDO, however. Here is an active thread over in the 6600 forum discussing a possible Sprint 6600 EVDO update:

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...threadid=57085

Please put any further posts on that subject in that thread. Thanks!
