How to stop this phone from making calls on it's own???

This phone is really annoying. It makes calls to people in my contacts list on it's own, and it does it 4-6 times in a row. Also, it redials the last number called over and over. People are listening to me without me knowing it.

How do you stop it from doing this???

Use the lock all buttons feature in the settings menu. Then when the phone goes off, none of the buttons will activate anything, except the power button on top will turn it back on.

Thnaks for the reply. It is already set to lock when phone is off. The problem is when the phone is on. How do I stop it then.

ahh i don't think you can....at least I don't know of a way to lock it with the backlight on. When I get done using the phone I just power it off and stick it in the holster.

When you power it off, can you still get calls?

Of Course. Unless you power it off by removing the battery...

It will ActiveSync, notify you of calls, emails, text messages, etc. all while "asleep".

Plus, it saves a whole lot of battery life.

however if you get emails, text messages, reminders it will turn the phone back on and you are in the same position. pretty crappy design - you need a screen lock program

I use the key lock feature of WM5. The phone won't make a call until I type in my pin #.

Mine turns on for about 1 minute, then turns off... Plus IceMan had the right idea - use the password option. Then pushing buttons have no effect, even if the phone turns itself on.

I turned my phone off and it will still dial- touch the jog lever and it will redial. Many of us used Mort Saver. Works very well.

Depends on when you have it set to have the password enable. I set mine for 15 minutes cause Im not punching the password in every time I set the phone down for a minute. 15 minutes is a lot of exposure to possible redial error if you get a lot of text messages, reminders etc. 3rd party program is the best option but havent seen any that do it right without locking up, draining the battery or slowing the system down.
