Wifi auto-shutoff?
Recently I read about a registry hack or an app that would enable automatic WIFI automatic shutoff after N-minutes of not connection.

Anyone know what this was?

No hack needed. Open Wireless Manager,Settings, Wireless Lan, Settings, check "Auto turn off" and set the time.

Actually, the device should do this for you if you tell it to do so.

Start--> Settings --> Connections --> Wireless LAN --> Settings

Check "Auto turn-off WLAN if not connected" and select # of minutes.
