Notes-Anyway to fillter by 'category' or 'folder' on PPC?

Coming from Palm, I noticed on the PPC, there does not seem a way to filter the Notes/Memos I am keeping (of which I have hundreds). On the Palm, I cateorized each note/memo and the Palm handhelp allowed filtering by category.

In Outlook, my notes are each categorized...I even created folders on the desktop under Outlook's Notes appl. During sync, these two info (category and folders) do not seem to carry to the PPC.

Bottom line, all my notes on the PPC handheld are sorted by alphabetical order now, not by category nor by folder. SUCKS.

Anyone know of how to filter or any fixes to this issue?

Subfolders will not sync. Atleast not via activesync. I've found one or two programs to enhance activesync on handango that claim to do this.

On first glance there doesnt seem to be a category filter on the PPC for notes (and it is implemented less than elegantly for contacts and calendar - each time I restart the apps they revert back to the "All Categories" view).

I was toying with the idea of creating a "Notes" folder in "My Documents" and creating seperate folders in there to categorize my notes. Again, I'm not sure if they will sync up correctly with outlook afterwards.

Thanks for the idea, I'll think about how I maybe able to use this idea...

BTW, if you create subfolders under my document, they will get synced to you PC if you select (in Activesync) to sync Files. But this data is stored OUTSIDE of Outlook, in a mydocs folder.
