this is really great...it needs some fixes and added enchancements, but it's something that i don't think i can live without now that i have it - apparently this was taken from the custom apps loaded on the treo 700w and tweaked...

...you can also use the text box to enter a website that will automatically load in PIE...i've suggested to the developer that you should be able to create custom "types" so you could specify, for example, an MSN search or an Amazon or Ebay search just by clicking and then typing.

yes i have the same issue - it has been reported to the developer...hopefully he can fix it...i don't think he has a 6700 but maybe he knows what's causing it.

i noticed this as well but i dont think i'm on the today screen much when im in landscape mode.

with this plugin, i can quickly enter any url from the today screen, hit enter and then slide into landscape mode ready to surf.

i disagree because if i want to type in something that's a few words long, i might want to slide out the keyboard real quick to do it - it's so easy to just open the keyboard and type something with the 6700...this option should be available.

Provides a google search box for your Today screen, similar to the Treo 700w.

Works for me, except while in landscape mode, some of the red keyboard buttons "bleed through" (i.e., while in alpha mode, the upper row of letters still enters numbers). Soft keyboard works fine though.

The treo 700w has a cool google search box on today screen that instantly launches the google results in pocket internet explorer. Is there a way I can get this for the xv6700???

Also, has anyone used voice command and how does it work? does it hurt memory much?

i just want to put the necessary things on this, not hog it up with stuff that may slow it down.

It doesn't work well with the 6700 though. There is an issue with using the keyboard.

Voice command works great. Always one of the first things I install.

I would also recommend Magic Button.

For those lusting for the Treo 700w's search plug-in from the Today screen, this is maturing and looks good. I'm trying it now.

with vx6700, you can't search with the keyboard because the top row only inputs numbers.

let me know if you find a way around this.
