6700 keyboard secondary characters.

I had to take my red logo 6700 back to the Sprint store today because of a recurring problem and they replaced it with the new yellow logo one.
The keyboard on the old one had a keyboard back light that was more white and this one is blue.
However, on the old one you had the secondary characters lit in red.
The new one does not light the reds. Only the letters.
Is this normal for you guys that have the yellow logo unit?
