ive read alot of different threads and it appears that all the devices with a memory card, have issues. i wanted to know what brand of memory card will be good with the 6700 thats not going to give me any stupid issues. i checked out a kingston 1 gb, i there are two kinds one with flash memory one without, which one will be best overall for the 6700

I don't believe that anyone has been able to definitively prove that any one brand of card causes issues with the 6700. At this point its only speculation that the DSOD issue is memory card related. Several people have reported having the problem when they don't even have a memory card.

Unlike regular sd cards, there aren't alot of choices with mini sd cards, especially if you want something 1 gb or larger, so just find a good price and pull the trigger.

Sounds like you are very sold on Kingston. Why?

You can easily find the best price on Kingston by searching price grabber.com

For me, I would rather spend a few extra bucks and get the fastest card available in the capacity I need.

I'm using an ATP 1 GB Promax miniSD, the one that is 150x. What I noticed is that when used in my laptop with an adapter, it reads/writes at almost the advertised speed. However, when used with the 6700, I get about 900 KB/s read and 350/KB/s write, which is only a hair faster than my older SanDisk 1 GB miniSD. I was quite disappointed to pay a significant price premium for the 150x, but not be able to support it with the 6700.

Is there a way to allow the 6700 to support higher miniSD speeds, or is this a hardward limitation of the device?
