voice command won't confirm?

sorry if this has been discussed before

I downloaded VC 1.5 and everything works fine except when I call numbers or contacts, the phone pauses to confirm it--but there is no voice that confirms it.

anyone have similar problems? i feel like i am just missing something obvious.

I believe i have that option checked. And when I say "call XXX", the screen will switch to their contact infor, but won't do anything. If I then say "yes" , it goes ahead and calls--but I dont get any voice confirmation from the program.

I don't get a voice confirmation either, but that is normal. I just hear the speeddial tones of the phone. That seems to work OK for me.

No that's not normal, you should be able to hear it if that option is set to on. Check your volume settings and then check to see if your Bluetooth device might be stealing the audio.

I had the same thing happen. I uninstalled and reinstalled Voice Command and it's working fine now. Kind of a stupid solution, but you might want to give it a shot.

I have been waiting for the release of version 2.0 for the 6700. Couple questions:

1) if 1.5 works fine on 6700, why does their customer service tell me to wait for 2.0 (was supposed to release Jan 10 I believe).

2) if put 1.5 on my phone today (because I just cant wait, lol), are the upgrades free - so then I would just be able to update to 2.0.

Thanks. I am REALLY looking forward to using VC - need it!

you won't get a notification if your ringer is on vibrate or turned off.. if the ringer is on then you should get notification so I would reinstalling to see if that helps..

What is the notification? What does it sound like? All I hear after I say "YES" is the dialing of the phone.

basically it confirms its making the right call so for instance you say call sam mobile.. the program should repeat call sam mobile and you would say yes if it pulled the right contact.. but again you won't hear any notifications if your ringer is turned off or on vibrate.. hope this helps..

I always hear "call sam mobile" part. But I thought there was a confirmation after I said "yes" to that.
