settings

same issue here i have been working on it trying to get it to work..

I have contacted the Dev and awaiting response.

Go to the pocketmax site and leave issues in the Phone Alarm Alpha 8 thread.

I solved my issue by reinstalling Phone Alarm 7 soft reset then Phone Alarm 8 and did not tell it to remove the old version.

See if that helps ya

Profile settings

Anyone having trouble with the profiles not saving?

I had to go back to 7

Uninstall 8
soft reset
install 7
soft reset
set settings in 7
soft reset
install 8 without letting it delete 7
soft reset

Now it works fine, but i dont for the life of me know why.

Loads fine, but will not save settings in any of the profiles when I change them. It always defaults back to the sound off, no ringer etc.

Greg suggested installing 7, just haven't had a chance to go through all of that to get it to work.

PA settings

Here is the issue regarding the settings not saving and some other information we are tring to collect to send to Bruce

I also got and email from Bruce that he is hoping to have ALPHA 9 out tongiht to help solve some of the issues mentioned in this thread.

If any of you are still having the profile issue, PM him as he is looking for someone to export and send him the pa-Export.txt file. To get this you go to the profile section and do and export and then email it to him at support@pocketmax.com.

I got mine working and dont want to have to go back and create the problem again. He also seems to think that it is just me having the issue because he cant create the same problem in testing.

here is the email from Bruce to me this morning:
Hi Greg,

Thanks for the file - BUT I needed the file from when phoneAlarm was NOT working (on install) - so I could see what was wrong on your device.
Very few users had this problem - and I can't eproduce it - so I needed to see the export file from non-working version to work out where the problem came from.

Will do some more testing and recheck the installer before bringing out alpha 9 tonight - but definitely want to fix this issue before the first beta version this weekend!

Thanks for your help & Happy New Year
Bruce Jackson

I am using PPC6700
ROM: 1.04.00 WWE
ROM DATE: 9/12/05
RADIO VERSION: 1.05.00
EXT ROM: 1.04.706 WWE
PRI VERSION: 1.06_011

What phones and software versions is everyone else with this issue using.. that might help him narrow down the problem

phone alarm

Phone alarm is a program that will solve all the isuses that WM5 has left out regarding alarms, repeat notifications for missed calls, voice mail, text messages.

It has many profiles(which is an issue right now) for when u are at work, home, car, plane, etc. Each can have different settings so you can change several settings with the click of a button.

Check it out at www.pocketmax.net

Thank you, Greg. That site seems to have a number of apps that would benefit a 6700 user.

Yeah, they have a number of good apps, PA being the best in my opinion. Altho its probably working at 60%-70% as advertised. Some of us live with the missing 30-40% for now. Hopefully this won't be for ever.
