sending email

ok so for the past couple days i havent been able to send email via my pop client on my 6700 and i keep getting an error message "Messages cannot be downloaded to mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your email account settings are correct. Then, try to download messages again."...i have done a soft reset and deleted all my pop emails and re-inserted them am i doing something wrong? or is this an ongoing issue with sprint and vision?

Same problem

I am having the same problem on one of our 6700's.

I read somewhere to delete the pop 3 setup, have Sprint tech service reset password and then re set up pop 3 account on phone with new password. I have not tried this yet as I can't get that person's phone long enough to call tech support.

Question

I have been getting that very same error. I have 4 pop emails set up but only one will give me that error. it also happens to be my main email that gets a ton of messages. I suspect that some sort of memory error causes it to happen. I have deleted my trash and it has helped before, but I don't know if that was just a coincidence. I have my mail set to download into my 512 memory card that has plenty of space. I even set up that account as an IMAP and got the same error.

This was happening to me also. Go thru your mail set up for each account. Thru Tools and options. Make sure your outgoing mail server is set up.

In my case I set up the incoming and outgoing server info. But, then you click Options. Then SSL and Outgoing mail server requires authentication. Then Outgoing Options. Then enter your email address and password to your ISP. I think thats in the right order.

Once that is done my outgoing replies work perfect.
