You might want to compare with other sites that offer bundled GPS packages, such as Semsons, before you buy. The GPS hardware & navigation software do work on the 6700 ... just be sure you choose software with voice prompts for driving safety.

I believe this is SiRF II based receiver. I recently got a SiRF III receiver from Seidio. The performance is excellenet, Based on review, it is better that BT-338 and $ 40 cheaper.

I'm looking at MS Street and Trips 06, which has voice directions. I can get it for $15.
I have to agree with these responses ... mapping software that you can buy at Staples or OfficeMax, even if it is GPS capable, is probably not the software you want to purchase for your PPC of PDA. They do not even include the latest updates in roads. I don't want to promote certain GPS receivers or navigation software, but if you intend to use your 6700 for GPS navigation, do some research first. There are a handful of top Sirf III GPS receivers, bundled with the best navigation software available, on online sites at very reasonable prices. It's worth the extra effort to review the hardware & software ... and aside from the fact that looking at the small screen on the 6700 while you are driving is a challenge, the receivers & software do work on your 6700 ... just make sure the software has voice prompts!
