I recently dropped my Treo 650 and couldnt get it repaired under warranty. So instead of buying another Treo 650 (which I have had for a year) I went out and bought a PPC-6700. Initial thoughts are not all in yet, but it shows promise. I checked the software thread and the tips thread, but didnt really find an answer for my needs.
1.
Bob's Alarm I use this program a TON. I love using it for a wakeup alarm, but mostly when I send my employees on breaks, I can quickly set a timer to make sure I call them back on time. I am sometimes extremely busy and forget to call them back from break. With this program I can start multiple timers in just a second or two.
2.
Directory Assistant This software is useful beyond belief. Need a phone number to a resteraunt or driving directions to a place where you are visiting, just punch it in and you can get tons of information about it. Address, phone number, mapquest pictures, mapquest printed directions or even add it to your contacts.
3. Threaded text messages. This is the worst feature of the entire phone. A huge step backward from my Treo 650. I read that there was a alpha-release of a threading program, but I shelled out $650 for this phone, I shouldn't have to become a beta tester aswell.
4. I would like to see a graphing calculater program. I never found one for my Treo, but I would love to see something like my TI-89. That would be awesome in my opinion.
If any of these exist, can someone point me in the right direction. I need a simple alarm program the most, as I have a horrible memory and don't enjoy carrying my Treo with me aswell.
Thanks
Lonzo
