I find myself using the keyboard a bit less than with my Treo, but still use it for responding to emails...etc. The main reason I rely on the stylus for input in meetings..etc is that the keyboard is a bit intimidating/off-putting to others and it's easier to use block recognition without looking down.
For heavier/faster data entry, the keyboard is terrific!
i love the keyboard; though i find it harder to text/reply/input anything while moving [driving, walking, etc.] on a normal phone i could input text without looking and very quickly.
otherwise, i use the keyboard all the time; its still quicker than i usedto be on my phone.
Originally posted by halr9000 I'm finding that for the most part, its pretty rare that I'm sliding out the keyboard. Is it the same for you? When do you use the keyboard?
It's starting to feel like a gimmick rather than a useful tool. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet.
I am like you... don't use the keyboard muc, and would definitely pay extra for a version 'without' the keyboard, to make the phone lighter

and much thinner
or id pay even more than i already did for a phone capable of voice recognition/dictation [no keyboard].
in any case, i love this phone and do'nt regret the decision at all.
If the keyboard was removed it whould make the phone 25% thinner max. Personally I think this phone has one of the best form factors of any Pocket Pc. Until folding screens become mainstream I don't see stuff getting much smaller.
I tend to avoid the KB. I've come close to dropping my 6700 many times while retracting it. I sure wish it had a wrist lanyard attachment like the K-Jam.

Wow, that's a great idea. I know I am religious about slipping the strap over my wrist when handling my digicam.
