so after even more hours invested into this phone..i think i might be getting the hang of it..thanks in part to many of you very nice members who have helped me!

1. how can i put those big icons (like for IE) on my today screen and taking out all the useless default stuff thats already on there.

2. what programs are needed to do this?

there are many 3rd party apps that would do that like SPB pocket plus, iLauncher, cLaunch, etc.

there's no need to start a whole new thread when you have already asked the question in here, this forum is already cluttered with duplicate posts, no need for more of that...

anyways, i don't use cLaunch myself but from reading the developer's site, it looks like you just tap and hold the claunch section and the option menu should pop up...

http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~welic/claunch.html

just take some time to read the site and it should solve your problems...good luck.

I don't believe you need to type in anything for the file path. There should be a button beside that field that has '...' or something similar on it. Just click on that and browse to the IE (iexplore.exe) or WMP (wmplayer.exe) under the windows folders and you should be all set...

Looking for a small-footprint freeware app that will display the time, in largish numbers, on my today screen (readable with just a quick glance in the car and so forth). Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I would suggest a freeware called rlCalendar...it's a today plugin that is very customizable but has a small footprint. Allows you to adjust the height of the plugin, however big you want the time, date, monthly calendar, etc. Do a search for rlCalendar over at xda-developers.com.
