verichat issues

I've installed the compatible version, 1.35b and I've successfully authenticated my email address...however whenever it attempts to connect I get a "authentication failed" error msg

any ideas? I've had this thing for almost 3 days now and still haven't been able to give aim/icq a try

So my new question is, did you guys download the 1.36b update or are you sticking with 1.35b?

I took the 1.36b upgrade. It's working well on my 6700. They almost have this ready for primetime imo.

I'm thinking of switching back to 1.35b..

I'm missing too many messages w/ 1.36.. (1.35b - if you're offline for any reason, sms's you the message.. 1.36 seems to just loose the message)

Ya, they disabled SMS background mode in 1.36b - I will probably go back to 1.35b until it is working again.

I haven't tried going offline and relying on SMS with 1.36. I did like that feature with 1.35 tho.

I softreset and it's still missing from 'Remove Programs' but it's still installed and I can open it, what the heck do I do now??

You don't have to go offline.. if you're on a call, you're automatically offline.. if it's more then a few minutes the message that tries to come in while you're on the call (I'm talking 15-30 min conf calls) get lost..

Well I went ahead and installed 1.35b and it appears to have installed properly overwriting the 1.36b install - only problem is now I have 2 verichat icons in programs (verichat & verichat1), anyone know how I can remove 1 of them?

What's your battery life like when connected all the time with Verichat? I really liked the SMS feature on the Treo, but I am afraid it's gonna kill my battery staying connected (trying it now..)

Thanks!! Mike

I've got so many other things connecting and disconnecting constantly (email, rss feeds, weather updates, etc) that it doesn't really make a difference... My battery lasts about a full day (12 hour day) for me.. but then again I'm usually within a few hours of a charger.

How does the standbye feature work in comparison to the T650 verichat? Can you reply without going into Verichat or can you do a quick reply as with the T650, etc
